During my last visit to British Museum I saw part of the European collections. There are beautiful objects from different countries and historical periods, mainly from Middle Age but also some more modern. The Greek collection is huge and you need more than one visit to see all. But I am not discouraged. I know for sure that every time I go to London, I can spend a very pleasant and informative afternoon in British Museum. It’s free and very rewarding.
Cand am fost ultima data la British Museum, in mai anul trecut, am ales sa vad cate ceva din colectiile europene. Foarte multe exponate sunt din Evul Mediu dar exista si altele, mai moderne. Colectia greceasca este foarte mare si ai nevoie de mai mult timp ca sa o epuizezi. E foarte placut sa stii ca, de cate ori mergi la Londra si ai putin timp la dispozitie sau e o zi urata cand nu-ti vine sa te plimbi, poti merge la muzeu unde iti alegi ce vrei sa vezi, in functie de dispozitie si de timpul pe care il ai. Vei fi intotdeauna rasplatit, estetic dar si informativ. Poti invata atat de multe intr-un asemenea muzeu si este gratis!

Foarte frumoase exponatele! Imi plac obiectele realizate cu foarte multe detalii. Parca ma fac sa apreciez mai multa munca din spatele lor.

Cred ca ceea ce este expus acolo, este ales “pe spranceana” pentru valoare istorica dar si estetica. Practic, ai putea fotografia fiecare exponat.

Asa e, Andras! Nici nu stii ce sa faci mai intai: sa admiri exponatele si sa citesti explicatiile sau sa faci poze. De obicei am stat 2-3 ore, deci foarte putin, asa ca este nevoie de mai multe vizite:)

Amalia si Mihai, multumesc pentru vizita. Postarile astea si pozele sunt, dupa cum ati inteles probabil, rezultatul a doar doua vizite relativ scurte. Mai sunt insa multe de vazut acolo.
