Jojakko-ji is a small temple of the Nichiren sect of Buddhism. The 16th. chief monk from the Honkoku-ji, decided to construct this temple in 1596, and live here in seclusion. After you climb a stair, you are at the Niomon, a thatched roof gate, with the two celestial guards.
Besides me, only two other people (who left) have been there. In the courtyard, beautiful Japanese pines and weeping cherry trees are inviting to o leisure stroll. The temple is open daily between 9-16.30 and the entrance fee is 500 yen.

Hi Traveling Hawk, you have some fascinating photographs there. I love the different shaped stones stacked up!
Duncan In Kuantan
You found a fantastic garden to wander through. It looks so calm and tranquil, a great place for the soul, no doubt :^)
Thanks for the visit, Duncan!
Right, Doug! Thank you for the visit.
Toate locurile acestea au fost minunate, cartim! Feng Shui are mai mult de-a face cu lumea chineza: China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc. In Japonia isi spune cuvantul. in aranjarea gradinilor. filosofia Zen.
That you also want to live in seclusion. The monk wanted to do so. I do not know what that is on the 3rd picture, or is it one of the heavenly guards?
Greetings, Helma
Yes, you are right, Helma, he is one of the heavenly guards.
looks like a great place to relax, unwind and find peaceful solitude.
I love this tour your taking us on.
Indeed, Life Ramblings. Especially because only few people were there, and they were believers who came to pray.
I’m glad, Randy, thank you.
